These two sublime people, who are so delighted with each new grandchild, no matter what number he or she is, and without whom I would be nothing (literally):
This smirksome bundle of Anne Taintor goodies that I ***won*** from the divine Soliloquy about a week ago:
My favorite movie of the week (Jenni's personal criteria for the perfect musical: it must make me laugh and incite me to get up and boogie):

These luverly poppies in my neighborhood (sadly not in my own yard...yes, I am the crazy woman who takes pictures of other people's plants):
I went out early this morning to snap these...thought they turned out awfully well...
tiptoeing into a perfect stranger's yard and wondering what they might think if they saw me...
...but it is my opinion that if you have beauties like this blooming, you better expect a little attention...

First of all, did anyone catch the positively brilliant pun that I made in the post below? Go ahead! Look again! I'll wait here...
Anyone? It was an inadvertant pun, so even I didn't see it until later. Is an inadvertant pun called a Freudian Slip, or do those have to be sexual?
These are the questions weighing heavily on my mind today.
I actually had a very important reminder for all of you who may have just found your way to my ShinyBrite new digs: ****DO NOT FORGET TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAYS!!!****
You have until midnight tonight (Oklahoma time, whatever that is; I have more important issues in my life right now than figuring out my timezone) to enter for a chance to win the Wizard of Oz, Deluxe MakeYourLifeNoticeablyBetter Edition, and the beautiful charm necklace made by my Wonder-SIL, Becca. Peruse the post entitled Conga! to see details.
Also, since this is FRIDAY after all, I need to do a Happy post. However, I have simply not had the time to wield my camera as frequently as I have wished, so this week I will try to paint you pictures with my words of that for which I am grateful.
1. The smell of freshly cut spring grass wafting through my open window. Nothing whispers the promise of summer and carefree romps in barefeet more than that.
2. Nursing my wee one. It's cliche, sure, but the joy it brings always takes me by surprise.
3. Friends and family who send me delightful surprises through the mail that make me feel so abundantly loved.
4. Scrapbook sales at Hobby Lobby.
5. The sound of my two year old singing "Don't cry, Saver" over the baby when he fusses. I definitely need a microphone so I can record this pure, unadulterated sweetness.
Have a blessed Friday, everybody.
Spring growth in DD#1's garden (strawberries! squeal!)
Examples of sheer determination in God's creation (peas! squeal again!)
A week ago I was in the hospital...3 cheers for HOME!
This gorgeous hunk, who takes such wonderful care of all of us...
Watching the emergence of a Big Brother...
This (good natured, longsuffering) man:
This little girl woman:
This love:
This ring:
(Joanne...can you believe we have the same announcement in the same week??)
Early morning light, coming through my bedroom window:
This Tulip Tree in our neighborhood, even though it causes me to break the eleventh commandment, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's foliage:
I don't think this needs an explanation:
Nature walks, and the feast for the eyes the Lord provides us with daily if we only have eyes to see:
And lastly, I don't have a picture for it, but can I just be corny and say YOU? Yeah, you, the one reading this right now. Whether you comment or not, the fact that you come, and read, and stick around to hear what I have to say next gives me more joy than I ever thought possible. You make me happy. I thank the Lord for you!

My new T-shirt (it's so very silly, but it gave me such a giggle):
These insane people I get to call my offspring (Four are not represented here. Apparently they were off somewhere being normal):
